By order of Site Command. This file is restricted to Reservoir personnel. Field procedures described here assume the reader has completed orientation. Personnel who have not are not to leave a safe zone.
Mandate
The Scientific Department handles research and development at the Reservoir. Every interaction with an anomaly is its responsibility. Other departments keep the site running; Research is the one that walks toward the thing everyone else is walking away from.
Because nothing in the Reservoir is labeled, Research is also the site's memory. What it learns in the field is the only warning anyone else gets.
Responsibilities
- Expeditions
- Leaves the safe zones to recover the materials the base needs to stay maintained.
- Anomaly handling
- Handles everything dangerous. If an interaction might be anomalous, Research takes it.
- Class-D
- Requests Class-D personnel when a trip needs carriers or a test needs hands.
